It can be done!

It was all joy and smiles for Betty Kavula, her Mom and teachers from D.E.B KMC Athi River Primary School, Betty, whose plight on her education matters was highlighted by Citizen TV recently won a full 4 year scholarship,4 year termly shopping, pocket money and fair to and from her new School at Asumbi Girls Secondary School.

Betty’s fate on her education was unknown as the parents could not afford her School fees and other necessities due her needy background and had gone to the press to seek assistance from well wishers.

Today Betty, whose dream is to become a lawyer could not hide her joy as she went shopping in preparation for the School reporting day on 15 Jan 2020.

Much gratitude to Chaki foundation in collaboration with the Kenya Education fund and St, Jude Catholic Church Athi river members for offering Betty an equal learning opportunity and by making this mission possible.

We are forever indebted to her teachers who helped her parents in reaching the media and alerting the public about her situation. Otherwise no one would have gotten the message and acted.

Our message to Betty is to work hard, achieve her dreams, better herself and help in changing this Nation economically, politically and socially for the purpose of sustainable development.
